I am thrilled to be offering, for the first time ever, a 3-week course on Easy Rightsizing! The class will be offered this fall through Southeast Community College’s Continuing Education program. We will meet Monday nights from 6-8 p.m. on September 21, 28 and October 5. We will be meeting in a classroom at the Jack J. Huck Continuing Education Center at 301 S. 68th Street place (near 68th and O streets). SCC has gone above and beyond to ensure a safe learning environment for everyone. Classrooms will be sanitized, we will all be wearing masks and keeping a safe distance from one another.
During our six hours together, we will be using my book Ready to Rightsize? as our text. The book is included in the registration fee for the class! Throughout the class, students will focus on getting into the right frame of mind to begin de-cluttering their stuff and rightsizing their life, work through specific strategies to declutter items in various categories (clothing, books, décor, tools, collectibles, etc), and discuss sentimental items and create a plan for how to keep the memories, not the stuff. The class will be personalized to the students participating, so that everyone’s questions and challenges will be addressed.
Each student will leave with their own personalized plan to keep the best and get rid of the rest. This class will help you see your stuff in a whole new light and create a healthy relationship and attachment to your possessions. Once your possessions are rightsized, just imagine all the freed up time, energy and space you’ll have.
